Ghost

The Ghost, which has been shown during the Destiny Behind Closed Doors Demo-E3 2013, is a personal robotic orb which casts a light on dark places. Some places cannot be explored without it. It can also be customized but little is known about how.

In the video it is shown to speak and it seems to have location specific actions and lines.

Speculation

The ghost is expected to aid the player in their quests and exploration, and so it will probably have many more features than just lighting up locations. It has been shown to warn the players of enemy presence as well as change the environment the player is in.

Voice Action

The ghost is voiced by Peter Dinklage of Game of Thrones fame.
